I'm organizing '90s Fleer (this is what I do with my Sundays?) and of course there's a missing card from a set that I thought was complete:
1990 Fleer #642
Do folks still have '90 Fleer laying around? Hit me up if you do!

Foil So Thick
A while back I sent Kerry over at Cards on Cards a few things of his wantlist. He sent a very generous stack of cards in return. I'm bad about keeping my wantlist (and this blog for that matter) updated, but Kerry managed to pick out a ton of things that I needed. I'll skip straight to what warmed my little heart the most:
1994 Fleer Ultra 442, 443, 452
I collected this set as a kid and needed all three of these cards. I really dig when teams are numbered sequentially within a set. Makes it easy on my brain. I don't know if my eyes are getting bad or if it's the foil, but I have a hard time reading the print. Definitely still love them.
1994 Fleer Ultra All-Star #12
Needed this one too. I absolutely love '90s inserts and Fleer/Ultra had a ton of them every year. Of course the Braves were endlessly featured during their run of division titles. Thanks for the trade Kerry!!
These '90s cards make me want to focus on finishing up childhood sets in 2016. I'm thinking that I'll purchase the '16 Series 1 flagship team set off eBay and trade for the inserts/parallels. Otherwise I'm going to dig around for '90s stuff. I'll be updating my wantlist accordingly.

Pressing Needs
After reading Night Owl's post about receiving a card he didn't know he needed, I thought I would revisit a set that I believed to be long completed. As a child I had the peculiar habit of organizing team sets alphabetically by last name, instead of numerically. I always had a good knowledge of the Braves' roster so I thought I knew what I was doing. Now, when I have the time I periodically go in and rearrange those sets. Today I found some glaring holes in one of my all-time favorite sets: 1993 Upper Deck. With the aid of The Trading Card Database, I realized that I need the following three cards:
24, 426, 459
This hurts. On the bright side that second Chipper is pretty sweet. If anyone out there has one or all of these, please let me know. This will definitely be one of those collecting things that eats away at me. I've also put the '93 UD inserts on my wantlist. Hit me up!

Way Behind
I'm way behind on acknowledging trades here. I've been pretty busy so this will be short. I sent Chris at Nachos Grande a couple of cards to help him finish off his '90 Topps set. You can see my end of the deal here. In return Chris sent these:
'09 Topps 352, 532, 582, 593.
I'm four cards away from finishing the '09 base team set.
Chris also sent some extra '90 Topps Braves cards. I didn't care for the set as a kid and it's still not a favorite. I haven't decided if I will complete the team set. I probably will. Thanks for the trade Chris!!

Lots of Trades!!
It's rainy and gross here in Savannah. Nothing a huge mail day can't cheer up!! There's lots to look here so let's get right to it.
First up is a trade with Tom at Waiting 'til Next Year. You can see my end of the deal here. Tom blew a good chunk out of my '91 Upper Deck want list:

#s 262, 301, 384, 460, 710
He also sent this '86 Topps card
#334
You gotta love those powder blue uniforms. I'm not sure how or why I was collecting this set as a teen in the late 90s. All I know is that I have most of the team set, so this card really helps! As a side note, I have hundreds of 90s cards sitting in my closet. If any of ya'll are working on sets from back then, I probably can help you out.
Next up is Ryan at "O" No!!! Another Orioles Blog. He too took a gigantic chunk out of my list. Here are the highlights:
#293 & 363
More powder blue!
#417
More '91 Upper Deck. Only two more to go.
'94 Collector's Choice 306, 325, 441, 649
Love love love this set.
'94 Topps #166
'94 Upper Deck #320
2009 Topps #424 & 468
Napkin from The Adventures of Napkin Doon claimed a gold card off my trade bait page. In exchange he sent a lot of cool stuff including my first 2013 Topps Gold card:
#115 Gold 277/2013
I haven't been too rigorously chasing these down, since they are plentiful in number.

2012 Allen & Ginter #33
My first card from any of these sets. I don't know what to think yet, I need to see more.
Finally Ken at Ken's Daily Fix sent these:
TM-7, CH-26 gold, CH-35 Silver
I just need gold CH-31 to be finished with the Series 1 inserts.
Thanks so much for the trades guys. There is no way that I would have made it this far on the rainbow journey without your help!!

Trades with Wax Captain and Fantastic Catch!
The trade packages keep rolling in! At this rate I might be able to finish off the non-serial numbered cards in the rainbow before Series 2 is released. Let's have a look.
First, Victoriano over at Waxcaptain's Dugout sent some much needed 2013 Topps:
#222 Target red
I'm really starting to dig the red cards. They look good put together in the page.
CH-31 & CH-35 Base
CH-26 Silver Holofoil
I still don't understand the point of all these variations but I only need a few more to be finished with them.
Next, I received a stack of cards from Superduperman99 at Fantastic Catch. I sent a stack of rookie cards from the 2013 Topps flagship that hopefully will help with a neat project that he is working on. I got a generous helping of mid-nineties goodness in return.
'94 SP 19, 48, 50, 51, 55
Lots of shine. I collected this set back in the day, but never finished. I haven't posted a want list, but actually needed all four cards that he sent!
'94 Flair. Infield Power #5
I LOVED this product as a kid. The base cards are very busy and very 90s. Back then the Hot Glove inserts were all the rage. I couldn't afford to buy packs but I somehow cobbled together a good chunk of the team set. The inserts are another story. I will definitely be figuring out what I need and get the want list updated. Thanks again for the trades!!

Trade with The Sandlot
A couple days ago I received a trade package from Joe over at The Sandlot. I sent him several of the Mets that he needed from the 2013 Topps base and insert sets. I won't bore you with all the flagship cards that he sent other than this one:
#115 Target red.
I might get fancy and put some kind of tracker in the sidebar to keep score of my progress on this rainbow thing.
Joe also sent a stack of cards that I'm largely unfamiliar with. Most come from the years that I was out of the hobby. However these beauties come from the '96 Pacific Crown Collection, a brand that I sometimes collected as a teen:
#s 1, 2, 15, 16, 17
Honestly, I don't remember this set but I'm really liking what I see. Joe may have gathered from previous posts that I absolutely love cards with full bleed pictures. The Braves occupy cards 1-18 in the set, probably a tribute to their '95 World Series victory. I love sets that keep teams together AND in alphabetical order I'm definitely interested in pursuing the rest of these. Now you see how easily I am swayed. Thanks for the trade Joe!!
I also won these on ebay:
46, 126, 201, 257 Walmart blue
I previously said I wouldn't be buying any retail parallels but I couldn't resist the price. I got these four for less than $2. That includes shipping. I'm now half-way finished with the blues. Want lists have been updated accordingly.
